A micro-informative video on "loot boxes" (a controversial monetisation system found in the game industry), in which we reveal some of their dangers for young people, especially minors, in a context of lack of legislation. It was published on Punticoma's social media (Escola Pia Sarrià's school magazine) in November 2019.
We made this video with the knowledge we gained from our Bachillerato's Research Work ("Treball de Recerca", in Catalan), in which we spent a year investigating lootboxes from different fields of knowledge (sociology, economics, psychology, law, etc.) to gain a better understanding not only of this type of monetisation system, but of microtransactions as a whole and their impact on our current times.
